Themis Advocates Group is a national network of leading civil defense attorneys and law firms located throughout the United States. Like our namesake—the Greek goddess of divine law and order, Themis—we strive to uphold the natural laws of justice, morality, and good governance.

Our mission is to provide clients across the nation with professional, high-end, cost-effective legal services. We accomplish this by ensuring our member firms are some of the best in the field. We share information and procedures, collaborate on training and technology, and pass on client reviews and feedback in order to ensure that we are always providing clients with the highest level of service possible.

We have grown from four law firms to a network of 26 firms with more than 700 affiliated attorneys, representing clients in 47 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

2026 Annual Conference

The 2026 Annual Conference is taking place February 4-6 at the Casa Marina in Key West, Florida. This premier event brings together civil defense attorneys, industry leaders, and partners for three days of education, networking, and insight into key trends shaping the legal community. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and participate in sessions designed to advance practice and collaboration across the profession. This event is by invitation only.

Save the Date!

The 2026 Women of Themis Leadership Summit and Mock Mediation will take place Thursday, April 30, at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. This one-day event features two programs, beginning with the women-only Leadership Summit in the morning focused on leadership development and skill-building. The afternoon Mock Mediation offers an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at real-time strategies from the perspectives of the plaintiff, defendant, and mediator.

Themis Gives is an initiative where we partner with a charity for each event we host as a way to give back. It’s one of the many ways Themis makes a difference. In February 2026, Themis is proud to support Island Dolphin Care as part of the Themis Annual Conference held in Key West, FL. This nonprofit organization offers unique, dolphin-assisted therapy programs designed to inspire hope, healing, and independence.
